This energizing homemade trail mix is packed with protein and healthy fats. Grocery store trail mixes are often high in added oil, sugar, and preservatives.

This recipe yields 4 snacks (1/2 cup each) that are much healthier than anything I've found in stores. I like to carry some in my purse so that I always have something good to snack on.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup dried apricots, diced
  • 1/4 cup almonds
  • 1/4 cup pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup white mulberries
  • 1/4 cup shredded coconut
  • 1/4 cup cashews
  • 3 tablespoons dark chocolate chips

Steps

  1. Combine all the ingredients.
