Cucumber, cilantro & pineapple juice
Watch the videoLast Sunday was my bridal shower, which was organized by my mom and my best girlfriends. It was such an incredible day that I’m still on cloud nine! I think what touched me the most was to see how much my friends know and understand me..
We kicked off the day with a toilet-paper bridal gown contest—we recycled the toilet paper, don’t worry—which was hilarious and pretty impressive, I have to admit. My friends split up into 4 groups to create their masterpieces and paraded around in their dresses. I especially enjoyed what my friend Anaïs—a self-proclaimed “Lady Caca”—was wearing.
Next, my friends gave me a box full of poems they wrote for me anonymously. I had to read them out loud, one by one, and guess who wrote which. I laughed, I cried, and I guessed most of them right.
To make a long story short, we played a bunch of similar games in the afternoon, after which we welcomed back our men (including Alex) and children for dinner. We ended with a beanbag toss tournament (not my forte), where my mom showed us who’s boss.
It was amazing!
Anyway, I am writing all of this stuff down because I couldn’t bear to keep all my friends’ creative ideas to myself. Please feel free to use them, and have fun doing so!
Ultimately, when I posted a picture of my bridal shower on Facebook, I received a lot of questions about the different juices on the table. I decided to share a recipe that my mom makes regularly and that is always a huge hit.
