Lemon pound cake & strawberry sauce

Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
- 1 tablespoon of milk
- 1 cup of butter
- 1 cup of sugar
- 2 eggs, whisked
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- Zest and juice of a lemon
Strawberry sauce
- 4 cups of strawberries, cut in half
- zest and juice of a small orange
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
Steps
- Preheat the oven at 325°F. Cover a loaf pan with parchment paper, then set aside.
- Mix the milk and baking powder in a bowl, then set aside.
- Whisk the butter, flour, zest and lemon juice along with the baking powder mix.
- Pour into the pan then bake for 50 minutes or until well cooked.
- Pour all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and bring to a boil. Simmer for 5 minutes then serve with the cake.
