  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 can (10 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • Juice of 1/2 lemon
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 package (397 g) puff pastry
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 tablespoons coarse or granulated sugar

Steps

  1. Preheat the oven to 400˚F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Set aside.
  2. Put the apples, cranberries, sweetened condensed milk, lemon juice, and cinnamon in a pan. Cook for 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Transfer into a bowl and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Shape the puff pastry into a 40 X 25 rectangle. Place on the baking sheet.
  4. Spread the apple and cranberry mixture on the puff pastry.
  5. Using a knife, cut the puff pastry into 6–wide strips until you have enough to cover the rectangle. Place the strips over the pastry, braiding them as you go.
