Spice-crusted salmon
Here is a quick recipe that, depending on presentation, can be served at a casual get-together or a fancy event.
I also like making this recipe into bites, by cutting the salmon into cubes and dividing the crust accordingly; the baking time is way shorter, and they’re just as delicious.
I guarantee these salmon bites will fly off the serving tray!

Ingredients
- 4 salmon fillets, skin removed
For the crust
- 1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
- 4 green onions, minced
- 3 tablespoons plain breadcrumbs (I like panko)
- 1 teaspoon honey
- 2 teaspoons sriracha
- Juice of 1/2 lemon
- 1 teaspoon David’s Tea gingerbread tea (optional)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Steps
- Preheat the oven to 400˚F.
- In a bowl, mix all the ingredients with a fork.
- Coat the fillets with the spice mixture and bake for 8–10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the fish.
- Finish cooking by briefly broiling the fish until the crust is golden.
- Serve on a bed of baby spinach with your favourite vinaigrette.
