A few days ago, my friend Julia opened up Le Saint-Laurent, a coffee shop in Old Boucherville, Quebec. This morning, I went with Alex for the first time and I completely fell in love with the place and the concept.

The Saint-Laurent serves the best grilled cheese sandwiches ever and their other dishes are made with a mix of ingredients and flavour combinations that are totally unexpected, but truly to die for.  (I haven’t tried everything on the menu yet, but my family has!). They also make the best smoothies and coffee, and they have a little shop where you can buy some of their products. Click here for the picture I took this morning.

I’m really proud of Julia and her team. As great as it is, I know it’s a big job starting your own business. I also know that it can look easy from the outside and seem like everything’s going well, when in reality it might be a different story.. That’s the case with The St-Lau, so bravo Julia. You’re like a fish in water, a cat with a ball of yarn, a cherry on a sundae. In other words, you seem like you’re in control (like Monsieur when he gets his paws on a bone).   ðŸ™‚

Here’s a smoothie recipe that was inspired by the one you gave me this morning. I LOVE IT! 🙂
