FRUIT & GINGER GREEN BOWL

Last night, while daydreaming about summer, it occurred to me that I might finally be able to plant my garden with my dad—the best gardener and landscaper ever—in my new backyard. I was reminded of the green juices I often used to make and I decided it was time to get serious about creating new recipes.
By the way, if you have any recommendations, tips, or ideas for designing my garden, please send them along! I’m pretty sure I’m not the only one looking for ideas or tips, so we could all benefit from your comments. 🙂

Ingredients
For the bowl
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 pear, cored
- 1 banana
- 1 cup almond milk
Replacement optionsor milk of your choosing
- 1 cup baby spinach
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, chopped
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
Replacement optionsor honey
- 1/2 cup Greek yogurt (lime, vanilla, or coconut)
- Several ice cubes
For the topping
- Slivered almonds
- 1 kiwi
- Pineapple cubes
- 1 tablespoon hemp seeds
Replacement optionsor chia seeds
Steps
- Blend all the green bowl ingredients in an electric mixer (or Vitamix) until the texture is smooth and creamy.
- Choose a topping, garnish, and serve.
